"Full send at the end" ‼️Thanks @oeinjosiah for pacing my 16k hard effort
⬛️ while also agreeing to match running gear too cos what is speed without style?? ⬜️
.
I love cycling in hard ten mile efforts between my weeks of longer but slower runs. Dropping the mileage but increasing the pace makes you feel like you're flying ⚡️
.
If you're training for a half I would definitely recommend adding a couple of these, but not too close to race day. It gives you the workout of sustained hard effort, can tell you where your fitness is and if its improved, and remind you what race day is going to feel like. 👀
.
In 3 weeks I'll be in Amsterdam taking in the @tcsamsterdammarathon Half by @mizunorunningeurope . No pace buddies then but alot of fast competition awaits 🇧🇧 and I'm here for it. LETS GO #BARBADOS

@venturecreditunion_ brought another sweet sweet sweet 5k! (3 x sweets cos I placed 3rd again🥉)
I LOVE my medal - not only is the design gorgeous this year but the @extramileevents.tt engraving has made it very special!!!
It's a beautiful memento to take home with my name & time from this year, my second time at Venture 5k #Trinidad🇹🇹

.

Safety is Sexy. Spend 2 mins talking about safety with your running friends and make them do burpees if they show up without lights.🔴

Thank You @bydauto_barbados for believing in me and my crazy dreams 🫶💛
It's been a solid year of building fitness for me - 6th at the @themiamimarathon + clinching the Caricom 10K title.
But we are not done yet and at times getting to the competition feels harder than the training.🥵
.
My final big race for the year will be the @tcsamsterdammarathon in JUST 5 WEEKS.😭
.
As we edge closer to race day, I want to say a very heartfelt thanks to one of my sponsors BYD Barbados for believing in my crazy dream of seeing how far (and fast) we can take Barbados🇧🇧🌎.
Support means everything, and it could be small like you guys saying "good luck" at 5ks, fellow runners who jump in to pace the tough longruns, or Coach Garnes giving me 16 x hill repeats cos he has confidence I will survive (lol).
Or it could be as big as the corporate partners who help you get to the next level. ✈️
So...thank you BYD for backing me as I build my dream of putting Barbados on the running map.

.
Race day is coming and I'm SOOO charged up yall ⚡️
